FunSongs English Weeks
FunSongs English Weeks are special summer camps for kids held by mother-tongue teachers trained in the FunSongs method. Based on an idea by Charles Goodger, the first FunSongs English Week was held at the Centro Torrazza in Zola Predosa near Bologna, Italy for 55 children aged from 7 to 10 in June 2006.
Since then FunSongs and its sister organization CAIL have organized many FunSongs English Weeks for hundreds of children in different cities in Italy.
The FEWs programme is an action-packed series of games, sports, arts and crafts in which kids learn English as they do things and have fun.
Each FunSongs English Week ends in a musical performance of original action songs for parents and an exhibition of the themed artefacts the children have made during the FEW.
If you are an Italian English teacher in Italy, why not organize a FunSongs English Week at your school? If you are interested in this idea you can discuss all details with Valentina D'Errico of C.A.I.L. Please text 328 9120000 or write Valentina an email.
