Music copyright
This is a brief explanation of music copyright with specific reference to FunSongs action songs. You would be justifiably annoyed if someone else simply copied your original recordings and started selling them. This is where copyright protection comes into play.
FunSongs Ltd owns the copyright for all its original songs. This means that under international law our songs are protected. All FunSongs songs are registered either with the Performing Rights Society in England or the Società Italiana Autori ed Editori in Italy. Both organizations are recognized throughout the world. Teachers and customers who purchase the FunSongs License, FunSongs CD or individual action song packages are also paying for the right to use FunSongs songs in the context of their school or institution.
Through this purchase customers also acquire the right to organize performances and concerts that make use of FunSongs songs.
Warning! Teachers who use FunSongs action songs without permission are breaching copyright and they and their schools could be liable to prosecution.
If in doubt about issues of copyright or if you require copyright permission for an event or show, please contact FunSongs at info@funsongs.co.uk.
